Suzuki GSR 750 named Zoo's Bike of the Year

Fans of sports motorcycles may be pleased to hear that the Suzuki GSR 750 last week picked up its second title of 2011, being named the Bike of the Year by Zoo magazine.

This latest accolade follows the award of the Motorcycle News Best All Rounder title back in September.

Suzuki GB's Tom Taniguchi said: "To scoop two coveted awards in just a few months is great news, and naturally the engineers, designers and entire team back in Japan are all very happy to hear of this award too."

He added that despite knowing the bike had the right ingredients to impress, the company is pleasantly surprised with the positive reaction the public has had to the vehicle over recent months.

The GSR 750 features a four-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of delivering 749cc, with twin-disc front and rear brakes and coil-spring, oil-dampened suspension.

In addition, the model has improve fuel efficiency compared to the GSR 600 and features a sporty handling and ride position.
