Race Retro announcement may please classic car insurance customers

Vintage car cover customers who are planning to visit Race Retro later this month may welcome news regarding the latest additions to the events line-up.

It has been revealed a number of stars from the world of dragster racing will be in attendance.

Scottie 'Dog' Durrant and Gina 'Hot Rod' Rumble have agreed to make an appearance in Tiki Munki.

The altered dragster features a five-speed gearbox and Sherpa 200 rear axle - and is based on an Austin Ruby.

Meanwhile, C&C Nostalgia Racing Team member 'Crazy' Chris Hartnell will be dropping in with his slingshot dragster - Backdraft.

The methanol-injected Junior Fueller celebrates its 40th birthday this year.

Race Retro is being held in Coventry at Stoneleigh Park over the weekend that starts on March 13th.

The event will also see a 24-carat gold-painted Aston Martin auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Previously owned by Italian Prince Rupoli the car is expected to fetch between £45,000 and £55,000.
