The iconic Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a fifth generation Ford Escort – developed as a rally version of the car. According to Wikipedia the RS Cosworth was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the for the 1993 – 1998 world rally championships.

Despite the fame of the model, it was produced in very small numbers (making it highly collectable today). One of the most notable elements of the design was, of course, its Turbocharged Cosworth 2 litre engine. 

The road going Escort RS Cosworth was available in three standard variations: the Motorsport or Roadsport, Standard and Lux (Luxury).
