Veteran Car Club of Great Britain Classic Car Show

The event, which will kick off tomorrow (November 11th), will provide something for all levels of classic car enthusiasts, providing thrilling entertainment for collectors, owners and admirers alike.

Crowds are set to flock to the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain stand to catch a glimpse of the Downton Abbey offering, which has appeared in many of the programme's storylines, including when Lady Edith - played by Laura Carmichael - attempted to learn to drive.

The 1911 Renault is completely original and would have been considered an upmost luxury in its day. Passengers, who could have included royalty, would have travelled in relative comfort inside while the chauffeur was exposed to the weather in its open drive laudelette body.

It can be seen on stand 8C16 at Birmingham's NEC this weekend, with members of the Veteran Car Club joining the Renault in period costumes on Sunday.

Julian Fellowes, the award-winning writer who created Downton Abbey, is a well-known classic car enthusiast who has visited the Classic Motor Show in previous years.

The event will see an array of vintage vehicles on display across seven halls, with over 1,400 cars and 250 motorcycles on display. The vehicles are set to include pre-war and retro classics, as well as European elegance, British sports cars and many more.

Ticket prices start from £10 for the Classic Motorbike show only, while access to both shows can be gained for £17.50.
