Business Insurance - Vauxhall to sign fleet deal with RED

Vauxhall has announced it is set to embark on a new agreement with RED Driving School that will see the vehicle manufacturer providing fleet services for the company in the coming years.

A total of more than 1,000 vehicles are set to be provided on an annual basis by Vauxhall for RED, with the company helping more than 100,000 people across the UK each year to learn to drive.

The deal will ensure RED has access to Vauxhall's latest model range and will also enable the company to take part in the firm's flexible finance scheme.

"RED Driving School has been an excellent and long-standing Vauxhall Fleet customer," commented Paul Adler, Vauxhall's fleet marketing & motability manager.

"We are very pleased to offer its instructors and learner drivers access to our Partners Programme and are confident they will continue to benefit from the versatility, reliability and enjoyment that come with owning and driving a Vauxhall."

He added that RED has always been extremely happy with the Corsa models offered by Vauxhall for its instructors and therefore the signing of this latest agreement is one that will be highly beneficial to both businesses in the coming years.

Research carried out by RED has revealed that new drivers have a very strong affinity for Vauxhall vehicles and therefore the continuing relationship between the partners will help to attract more new learner motorists to its services in the future.

The most popular vehicle offered by the marque was found to be the Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX.

Earlier this month, Fiat Professional was honoured at the annual GreenFleet Awards by picking up the 2012 Light Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year title.

The company was praised for its ongoing commitment to providing highly fuel-efficient models and also on its development of low and zero-emission vehicles over the last 12 months.
