Business Insurance - Business car insurance policyholders 'are putting safety first'

People who have business car insurance policies could be among those fleet drivers who are putting safety first.

According to a survey - which involved more than fleet customers - by fuel card reseller The Fuelcard Company, 42 per cent said their satnav gadget was the most important item in their vehicle, while a hands-free kit was voted the second most useful product.

Jakes de Kock, marketing director of The Fuelcard Company, said these results therefore show road safety is "paramount" in the thinking of fleet professionals.

He added: "If motorists are flouting mobile phone laws, it certainly isn't the majority of business drivers."

What's more, Mr de Kock pointed out the figures are "very encouraging" and that many drivers priorities are with the safe completion of their journey.
