World of Top Gear display 'fresh and contemporary'

Fans of the kind of motors that generally require classic car insurance cover may find the World of Top Gear exhibition at Beaulieu is "fresh and contemporary", if the comments of the people behind the attraction are anything to go by.

Commercial director at the National Motor Museum Stephen Munn pointed out from this Friday (July 31st), the display will include the vintage vehicles that featured on last night's (July 26th) Top Gear television programme.

During the broadcast, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond were seen choosing a pre-1982 antique auto from auction and then racing it at a classic car rally on the island of Majorca.

The presenters were each given up to £3,000 to spend.

Commenting on the Top Gear display at Beaulieu, Mr Munn stated: "We intend to keep the exhibition as fresh and contemporary as we possibly can and what could be better than for fans to see the show and the actual cars within just a few days."
