Race Retro sees classic car enthusiasts come out in force

Classic car enthusiasts were out in force at Stoneleigh Park last weekend, it has been reported.

Visitors from across the country headed to Coventry to attend Race Retro and enjoy getting up close and personal with a range of vintage vehicles, according to Live Promotions.

The company - which recently took over ownership of the event - said great weather and a host of racing stars made the weekend a memorable one.

It pointed out visitor numbers were up ten per cent on 2008.

The company stated the event exceeded all of its expectations and added it was heartening to see so many children and families there.

Managing director Colin Ward said: "As new owners, the most important aspect of the show for us was to encourage a younger audience into Race Retro and historic motorsport."
