Nostalgia event reports record 250 cars entering the occasion

Vintage vehicle enthusiasts will be flocking to Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire this weekend (August 6th and 7th).

Nostalgia event organiser, the Historic Sports Car Club, has recorded an overwhelming number of entry submissions totalling around 250 vehicles for the classic motor event.

The 18-race programme includes the Formula Junior category and the Guards Trophy for sports and GT racing cars. Both will purportedly feature a packed grid of 30-plus cars.

Circuit manager Tracey Morley commented: "For an event in still only its second year, the rate of growth has been phenomenal."

"Pretty much every inch of the site will be covered by race teams and their cars, exhibits, displays and entertainers," she added.

The event will also play host to enthusiasts from abroad, including entries from Germany, Sweden, France, Finland and Belgium.

Croft Circuit is the only International Motor Racing Circuit in England's north-east region and is aided by the avid supporters club, which allows people to 'own' a section of track in exchange for membership.
