Largest collection of classic Bond cars to be displayed

The largest ever display of vintage cars from the James Bond films will be displayed at the National Motor Museum (NMM) in Beaulieu to mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary silver screen franchise.

Working in partnership with EON and as part of Empire magazine's Big Screen event, the NMM will host the exhibit throughout 2012 featuring 50 cars from the latest film Quantum of Solace back to the 1937 Phantom III Rolls-Royce from Goldfinger.

Classic car  policyholders might wish to visit the national museum as 2012 also marks the institution's 40th anniversary.

Stephen Munn, Beaulieu's commercial director, said: "Following the success of the first Bond cars exhibition staged at Beaulieu in 2001, we are delighted to be working with EON again on this new display."

In a further anniversary of British institutions, Rolls-Royce has been celebrating its centenary with a series of special events throughout 2011, including a manufacturer's enthusiasts club visit to the company's headquarters at Goodwood in July.
