Motorcycle Live winners announced

The two stands that have received Best in Show awards at the recent Motorcycle Live event - which took place at the Birmingham NEC in November - have been named as belonging to Triumph and J&S Accessories.

A jam-packed week of motorcycle attractions was seen at the event in 2011, with 14 per cent more visitors heading along to check out the exhibitors than in the previous year.

Triumph gained praise for its stand, which featured the Triumph Bonneville T100 Steve McQueen Special Edition bike displayed alongside Triumph's entire 2012 range, while the J&S stand was more than 400 sq m and allowed attendees to pick up all manner of biking accessories, from helmets to boots, jackets and gloves.

Finlay McAllan, managing director of MCI Exhibitions, said: "The standard of exhibitor stands was incredibly high this year and without doubt that contributed to the rise in visitor figures.

"I'd like to thank Triumph and J&S Accessories, who both put tremendous effort in to offering show-goers exactly what they want."

He added that the overall success of the event last year was ultimately down to all those who bought tickets and came along.

"We are very pleased to confirm the dates for 2012 and look forward to welcoming bike fans ... to the UK's biggest motorcycle show," Mr McAllan said.

Motorcycle Live 2012 will take place once again at the NEC and will run from November 24th to December 2nd.

Fans of unique motorcycles were also treated to their first glimpse of the new Ducati 1199 Panigale at last week's MCN London Motorcycle Show.
