Motorcycle Live 'offers something for everyone'

This year's Motorcycle Live is set to provide entertainment for visitors across all genres of the biking fraternity, allowing them to explore machines from past and present generations.

Kicking off next month, Motorcycle Live 2011 will be split into a range of dedicated zones that show off memorabilia from all corners of the popular pastime, including adventure biking, custom models, classic machines or off-roading.

Visitors will also be able to enter the Escape Zone, sponsored by Yamaha Super Tenere, where they will find the inspiration and all the equipment they need to plan their dream motorcycle trip.

The Custom Xtreme Zone, which is sponsored by Black Street Heroes and Streetfighters, is set to return with a display of customised vehicles, offering attendees the chance to see some of the best cover bikes up close. In addition, they will be able to get a glance at some future award winners, unveiled for the first time.

For those insurance policyholders interested in the calmer scene of classic bikes, the Classic Zone - sponsored by Brittany Ferries - will feature an impressive array of machines that date back to the 1920s.

The Best of British racing talent will also be out in force as part of the event's grand opening ceremony, where MotoGP star Cal Crutchlow will fire up his Yamaha M1 on the Black Horse Stage.

He will be joined by a host of stars including current World Supersport Champion Chaz Davies, double World Superbike Champion James Yoseland, Moto2 rider Bradley Smith and 125GP contenders Danny Webb and Taylor MacKenzie.

Finlay McAllan, managing director of the event's organisers MCI Exhibitions, said: "British racers are really making their mark on the world stage and it's only right that the biggest bike show in their home country celebrates that fact."

Advanced adult ticket prices are £16, £10 for seniors and £6 for children.
