Ducati 848 joins British Superbike Series for 2011

Motorcycle insurance seekers might be interested to note that the Ducati 848 Challenge has joined the MCE British Superbike series for 2011.

The manufacturer revealed today (January 28th) that the vehicle has become a partner of the series, as well as linking up with Pirelli.

Ducati UK managing director Tim Maccabee stated the company has good relationships with both brands so it was a natural agreement.

He added: "We are also excited to be able to offer our riders tyres of such a high level as those used in both British and World Superbikes."

What's more, it was revealed all people riding the Ducati 848 Evo will have Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres.

This comes after it was announced Valentino Rossi returned from his injury to test ride a Ducati 1198 Superbike.

The world champion managed to take to the track again 73 days after an operation on his right shoulder, although Rossi admitted it still feels painful.
