Ducati 848 Challenge grid 'reaches 22 with nearly 3 months to go'

The Ducati 848 Challenge grid already has 22 riders on it with almost three months to go.

Individuals with motorcycle insurancepolicies might be keen to see that Moto Rapido Racing have added James Poole as they bid to compete alongside other Ducati dealer-back teams such as JHP Racing.

The 29-year-old comes with experience after he previously raced a 999 in the Superstock 1000 Championship.

What's more, it looks to be a competitive field as last year's champion Darren Fry is competing again this time around, as is 2010's third placed rider Mark Cheetham.

Jason Boswell, series coordinator, stated: "We're really pleased with the response we have had from so many riders from all different racing backgrounds."

He noted the interest has rocketed in the last few weeks.

In addition to this, Ducati has revealed it will unveil the sponsor of the event at the forthcoming London Motorcycle Show, which is taking place from July 3rd-8th.
