Business Insurance - Business car insurance seekers 'expected to buy Mazdas in 2011'
Mazda is expecting an increase in company vehicle demand, which could be from business car insurance seekers looking to purchase one of their motors.
According to the brand, it has upped its penetration of fleets for the public and private sectors.
Furthermore, Mazda fleet and remarketing director Peter Allibon has forecasted end-user fleet registrations will reach 7,500 units throughout 2011, plus there will be a 15 per cent advance in core channel sales thanks to the introduction of a fleet-focused Mazda6, among other aspects.
This includes the arrival of the Mazda5 1.6-litre 115ps turbo diesel, which emits 138 g/km of CO2 and could therefore appeal to companies looking to improve on their carbon footprint.
One motor that may appeal to businesses is the Mazda MX-5, as the production of the motor is set to top 900,000 today (February 4th), 21 years and ten months after the first mass production of the vehicle took place in April 1989.
