Business Insurance - Audi A1 picks up Car of the Year award

Business car insurance seekers might be interested in choosing the Audi A1 for its fleet after a recent triumph for the vehicle.

The motor has won the What Car? Car of the Year award, 12 months on from taking home the Most Exciting Car of the Year accolade at the magazine's ceremony.

And judges at this year's event - which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane - revealed the automobile "comes across as every inch a bespoke premium product".

Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of the publication, described the vehicle as "brilliant", adding: "More and more buyers are looking for smaller, more efficient cars, but with all the luxury trappings of much larger cars."

Earlier this month, the brand pointed out it had achieved a record year in terms of sales in 2010 after shipping more than one million vehicles worldwide, an increase of 15 per cent.
