Van Insurance - Citroen announces new Berlingo and Dispatch

Citroen has announced its newest Berlingo and Dispatch models are to be unveiled at the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show in Birmingham later this year.

Each of the light commercial vehicles (LCVs) have been overhauled for their 2012 release, with the Berlingo having seen capacity improvements over previous models, resulting in an upgraded load capacity of 4.1 cubic metres.

In addition, the vehicle features Citroen's new Extenso folding passenger bench seat, offering a versatile workspace for LCV users.

The Dispatch is also benefiting from a significant number of improvements for 2012, including a focus on boosting fuel economy for buyers through the introduction of a new front end for the model.

Improved aerodynamic performance as a result of this improvement - as well as the introduction of fins under the chassis - mean van users will get more miles from a single tank in 2012 than was possible in the past.

In addition, the company's new 'volt control' system has been incorporated into the Dispatch to provide optimised battery charge management.

Scott Michael, Citroen's commercial vehicle operations manager, commented: "Our CV Show display demonstrates Citroen's advanced technology, which results in some of the most fuel efficient and lowest emission vehicles available in the UK.

"Today's Citroen LCV range offers UK businesses an unrivalled choice of vans, enhanced traction vans, platform cabs, crew vans, chassis cabs, chassis crew cabs and specialist bodied vehicles."

The CV Show is being held at the Birmingham NEC from April 24th to 26th and will see a host of exhibitors in attendance.

As well as Citroen, vehicle manufacturers from across the globe have already signed up to exhibit, including Ranger Stork, Renault, Haultech, Hyundai Motor UK, Lombard, Fiat Professional and many more.

Attendees are advised the event is likely to be a popular draw for the crowds and so pre-booking tickets could be a smart move for those interested in checking out the latest LCVs and much more.
