Business Insurance - Mitsubishi launches e-compact at Geneva

The Mitsubishi e-compact car has been launched at the Geneva Motor Show today (March 1st).

Business car insurance seekers might be keen to see the motor - which is expected to be unveiled in production towards the end of the year - has a number of eco-friendly benefits.

The brand has revealed the e in the automobile's name stands for a number of things, including environment, efficiency and electric vehicle.

It comes with new one and 1.2-litre MIVEC powertrains and contains a number of green technology solutions, such as Auto Stop and Go, as well as having a brake energy regenerative system.

What's more, e also stands for export and the manufacturer pointed out 80 per cent of the motor's total output will be shipped to various countries in Europe, among others.

This comes after the manufacturer stated the Mitsubishi i-MiEV became the first electric car to be crash-tested by Euro NCAP last month, resulting in it receiving a four-star rating.
