Managing Your Policy Online Has Never Been Easier

At Performance Direct, we aim make it as easy as possible for you to make adjustments and keep your policy up to date. Using your online insurance account, you can make changes to your cover at any time, all from one secure and easy-to-use dashboard.

This video explains how to log in, choose the policy you want to update, and select the change you need. You’ll see how to amend your details, review whether the change is temporary or permanent, and submit your update.

Once submitted, you can view any premium or fee changes, download updated documents, and decide whether to go ahead, all within your online account.

Welcome to this brief tutorial on how to make changes to your Performance Direct policy. No matter what type of cover you have with us, car, van, home, motorbike, or any other policy, using your Performance Direct insurance account, the process is quick and easy. Let's take a look at how it works.

Once you've logged in, your account dashboard will display any policies you currently have with us. Select the policy you'd like to update. This will take you to your policy overview page. From here, choose the 'make a change' option.

If you click more info, you'll be able to choose whether the change you're making is permanent or temporary, depending on what you need. The options that you see on this screen are relevant to a motor insurance policy. But if you've chosen to change a home policy, you will see different options here that are relevant to home insurance.

After selecting the change you'd like to make, click 'Continue'.  Although the layout may vary depending on your policy type, the process is similar across all products. Here, you can amend different elements of your policy.

This could be amending personal information, changing details of your vehicle, adding a driver, adjusting property details or increasing the level of cover. Just select the section that is relevant to your amendment requirement.

For example, if I wanted to change my vehicle details, I would select that section, enter the new registration number, scroll through the details, and make any changes that are relevant. If you're unsure what a particular field means, look for the small information icons. Clicking or hovering over will give you guidance on what to fill in.

Once you've reviewed the information and confirmed that everything is correct, simply scroll to the bottom of the page.

Here it will ask you whether the date you want the change to start is correct. If it isn't, click Edit Details and change the date. Then when you're ready, click Continue and then Submit Changes.

During our opening hours, you'll receive an update confirmation within around 10 minutes. And when your new quote or policy adjustment is ready, it will appear in your insurance account in the same policy area.

 Select your policy again and you'll see a breakdown of the change, including any difference in premium or fees. You can also download a PDF summary for your records.

If you're happy to go ahead, simply make the payment document and the change will be applied. Your updated documents will then be available in your insurance account within about 20 minutes.

If you decide not to proceed, you can simply reject the change and your policy will remain as it is.
