Breakdown Insurance Summary of Cover

Performance Direct Rescue provides:

• Roadside Assistance
  A high quality service at the scene of breakdown with an estimated response time of 35-40 minutes.
• Recovery
  In the event of a serious breakdown Performance Direct will take you, your vehicle and up to four passengers to the destination of your choosing anywhere in the UK
• Home Service
  If your vehicle breaks down at home, Performance Direct Rescue will repair it on the scene. If we cannot get it started, we will take it to the nearest available garage for you.
• Caravan and Trailer Service
  If your vehicle breaks down, any attached non-commercial caravan or trailer is entitled to the same service as your vehicle.

What to Do if You Breakdown

If your vehicle breaks down you must call the 24 hour rescue control centre on 0800 783 8859 where trained staff will deal with your situation quickly.

The operator will require the following information when you phone:

1. Your name and document number
2. The phone number (including area code) you are calling from
3. The location of the vehicle, including road names or numbers and landmarks
4. The registration number, make, model and colour

Please stay with your vehicle until a rescue vehicle arrives. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of any parts fitted.

Is the driver or the vehicle insured?

Unlike many big rescue companies, Performance Direct Rescue covers the vehicle with any driver so if your friends or family use the car they are covered too in the event of a breakdown.

How do I pay and when am I covered?

Payment can be made by cheque or credit card and cover commences from 00.01am on the following day after the premium is paid in full.

How does your premium compare with other rescue organisations?

With a one product, one price policy we are able to offer savings of between 30-40% on the annual premiums charged by the largest companies, based on similar services.

What happens if I require assistance?

Simply call the 24-hour help line and Performance Direct operators will begin the rescue process. After checking membership details, the operator will pinpoint the exact location of your vehicle using the latest computer mapping technology &endash; similar to that used by the Police and other emergency services. They will arrange for a patrol vehicle to be sent to the scene.

How long will I have to wait before help arrives?

The average call out time is between 35 and 40 minutes.
