There may be several reasons why we request certain documents from you. Please use the information below for guidance.
Current Mileage Reading
If we have requested a current mileage reading this can be sent to us via email along with the registration of the vehicle and the date of the reading. The mileage reading has to be exact and not an approximation.
Your No Claims Discount (NCD) represents your driving experience.
Insurers may request proof of this and you will need to send this information to us (we’ll take care of the rest). Sending your NCD could not be easier, simply email, post or fax it to us using the information below. You may need to request your proof of No Claims Discount from your previous insurer.

If we have applied a Company Car discount to your policy and request proof, please ensure that you provide a Company Car experience letter from your employer which must include the following:

If we have applied a 2nd car No Claims Discount (also referred to as an Introductory Discount) to your policy and request proof, please supply a copy of the other vehicle policy schedule showing your current No Claims Discount entitlement or a letter from your insurer confirming the amount of No Claims Discount you are currently earning.

Classic Car
Although optional, if you are sending in documents for Agreed Value, we require six photographs of the insured car which must include the following:
Please send your photographs along with a completed Agreed Value form if required using one of the methods below. Please read and follow the instructions on the Agreed Value form.
Other documents
If proof of your address is requested by your insurer please send either of the following to us:
A bank letter – dated within the last 3 months
Or
A utility bill – dated within the last 3 months
If we have requested that you share your driving licence details, please use the link https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence to get started. Using this link will provide you a ‘check code’ which allows us to validate your licence, this will be valid for 21 days. Once you are ready to send your copies and/or your driving licence ‘check code’, please email directly to: customer.care@performancedirect.co.uk or alternatively use the information at the bottom of the page to post or fax.
REMEMBER: It is a legal requirement that your driving licence shows your current address. Should you need to update your details, this will need to be changed at the DVLA. You will need to send copies of the photo card licence and ‘check code’ for ALL drivers.

Card section: Please ensure front AND back details are clearly displayed (the back of your photo-card shows your pass date & driving entitlements).
Counterpart section: Please ensure that your copy clearly displays front details.
If you have a UK paper licence issued before 1998 (before the photo-card was introduced):
Please ensure that your copies display all details clearly front AND back.
EU licence: Please ensure details of both the front AND back of the photo-card are clearly displayed.
If proof of garage parking is requested, please provide two photographs.
One needs to show your vehicle in your garage and the other needs to show the garage is at your home address.
