Drivers looking to avoid a claim on their van insurance policy might want to steer clear of a speed bump in Staffordshire that has been named the UK's worst.
A study by Continental Tyres found that drivers dislike the sleeping policeman in Great Wyrley because it is placed in the path of a flood spot and can often not be seen as it is submerged in water.
Other particularly irritating humps were also identified in Solihull, Leicester and Cirencester.
Roger Sanders, technical expert at Continental Tyres, said: “The main issue that we face with speed humps is the lack of consistency in design. Shapes, heights and materials vary wildly from hump to hump, which means that drivers are unsure on how best to approach them and therefore risk unexpected impact.
He added that some humps could be damaging to a vehicle's tyres - which could in turn lead to a car or van insurance claim.
