Van Insurance - Fuel costs 'Brits' main concern'

Fuel costs 'Brits' main concern'

Car and van insurance holders may be among the drivers who have identified rising fuel costs as their main motoring worry.

A survey conducted by Motors.co.uk and cited by Motor Trader highlights that petrol costs are the main car-related worry for the majority of Britons.

The publication states that the cost of unleaded petrol is now as much as 114.9p on some forecourts in the UK, having escalated over the past year.

Meanwhile, Ray Holloway, director of the Retail Motor Industry's Petrol Retailers Association, recently stated that the UK now has fewer than 9,500 filling stations - its lowest number since 1912.

The second biggest concern among British drivers was found to be congestion, with this cited by 21 per cent of the population.

However, only 14 per cent of respondents said that the effect of their CO2 emissions on the environment was their top worry.
