Van insurance seekers may be interested to learn that Ford has announced its 30,000th scrappage deal - a Ford Transit for a company in Southampton.
Quick Electrical Services picked up the motor for business purposes.
The father-and-son team – helmed by Dave and Matthew Quick – secured finance for a new Transit 260 SWB Trend.
Regarding the purchase, Dave Quick said: "We needed something newer, bigger and better and looked at every option before settling on the Transit."
He went on to observe that the motor provides "a lot more space for the tools of my trade and has all the mod cons".
Additionally, the businessman explained that he was glad to be able to support the locally-made model.
This follows a Fleet News survey which named the manufacturer as the most dependable van provider.
Meanwhile, the poll ranked the Transit as the most reliable van, while the Transit Connect came in third place.
