Ideal van insurance could come in the form of a Ford Transit Connect, which was recently victorious at the Association of Car Fleet Operators' (ACFO) Fleet Car and Vans Awards.
The motor picked up the Light Van of the Year prize – potentially boosting the vehicle's appeal to business customers eager to track down a suitably spacious model.
On accepting the prize, Ford's UK fleet director Kevin Griffin said: "For ACFO members to vote Ford Transit Connect their winner seven years running is an honour. It is recognition of Ford's commercial vehicle success and why we remain the choice of thousands of British businesses."
What's more, the poll received 20 per cent more votes than last year because of a switch to an online ballot system.
The awards considered the Transit Connect's running costs and dealer network – plus the overall opinions of users.
Elsewhere, the company's Focus RS was recently named as Nuts magazine's Car of the Year 2009.
