One manufacturer is keen to make its mark on the Le Mans 24 Hours series by undertaking sports car preparations in the US.
Team Peugeot Total will travel across the Atlantic and participate in the 12 Hours of Sebring event, which could provide the necessary practice ahead of this year's Le Mans showpiece.
Racing fans might be interested to learn that the Sebring sporting spectacle will see new regulations that ensure petrol powered cars have a greater chance of taking victory.
Commenting on the event, Peugeot Sport's technical director Bruno Famin suggested the team will reap the benefits of some useful preparation time.
He stated: "Sebring serves as first class training
with regards to race strategy; there are generally a high number of safety car interventions and the amount of traffic on the track can be likened to Le Mans."
Recently, the Peugeot ECO Cup arguably underlined the manufacturer's eco-friendly credentials.
