Toyota plans may sell more festival tickets

People who are fond the of the kind of vehicles that require sport car insurance may be tempted to book tickets for the Festival of Speed after hearing about Toyota's plans.

The manufacturer revealed it has a number of treats in store for visitors to the 2009 event.

It stated attendees would be able to get a close look at the Andros Trophy Auris in which Alain Prost secured two consecutive ice racing championships.

The company explained the "extraordinary car" features a tuned edition of the 3.0-litre V6 engine fitted in the Lexus RX, along with carbon-fibre bodywork.

In addition, visitors will witness the first UK public appearance of the Lexus LF-A.

The firm claimed the supercar would be one of the main attractions during the hill climb challenge.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Festival of Speed ticket holders are to be entered into a draw for the chance to win access to the exclusive dunhill Drivers Club.
