Mountune Racing has announced it took pole position in recent days at the British Touring Car Championship.
The group is part of Revolve Technologies and placed first with an LPG-powered vehicle run by Team Aon.
Sports car insurance policyholders are likely to be interested in the achievement, as it represents the progression of ultra-low emission models in the industry.
Roger Allen is general manager of Mountune Racing and said the company is pleased to contribute towards greener motorsport efforts.
"We are looking forward to continuing working with both Team Aon and [fuel supplier] Calor as the season continues and are hoping to build upon this weekend's success," he added.
Tom Chilton set the lap time in the car, which has a Ford Focus LPG two-litre Duratec engine with injection system and turbocharger.
Mountune's client roster includes parties such as Skoda Motorsport, Birbeck Rallying, Jaguar Cars, Motopower and Ascari Cars.
