People may be encouraged to take out sports car insurance after hearing about a new model, which has been described as the "purist" Porsche model.
The Boxster Spyder will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in December and promises to please true fans of the luxury marque.
Weighing 1,275 kg, the vehicle comes with a soft top that the manufacturer claimed will see the driver through any weather conditions from rain to shine.
It comes with Porsche twin-clutch transmission, Sports Chrono Package and can reach 62 mph in 4.8 seconds.
"The distinctive styling and technical specification of [the model]
represents the true, purist form of the Porsche sports car light, powerful, open-roofed, and very efficient," stated the manufacturer.
If the sound of the vehicle makes sports car insurance shoppers hearts rev-up in excitement, they will have to wait until February 2010 to get their hands on one.
Prices in the UK are set to start from £44,643.
Once sports car insurance customers get behind the wheel of the Spyder, they may find that they empathise with Ferry Porsche's dream of "driving in its most beautiful form".
