A new Mazda CX-7 is now available in showrooms, something that may interest sports car insurance customers looking to upgrade their current vehicle.
The Sports Crossover variant, which is priced at £25,785, features a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, along with upgraded handling and improved safety technology.
Taking styling cues from sportier models, the CX-7 Sport Crossover is, according to Mazda, one of the world's first vehicles to combine the driving experience of a sports car with the "practicality and roominess" of a sports utility vehicle (SUV).
It is available in a choice of five colours and sales and marketing director for Mazda in the UK Mark Cameron told Carpages that the model is "different from the huge line-up of SUV-type vehicles currently available".
He noted that it offers a "strong road presence" without sacrificing the "commanding driving position" that is one of the benefits of SUV models.
