UK explorer Ben Saunders will attempt to become the fastest ever individual to reach the location, setting off on March 15th.
The challenge which is supported by Land Rover will be done without air-drops of food, while Mr Saunders will be the sole participant.
It will attempt to beat the current speed record of 36 days and 22 hours, requiring the kind of endurance qualities that racing fans can appreciate in the world of motorsport.
Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover, suggested the brand's no-limits approach to motoring makes it a fitting partner for the explorer's new challenge.
He stated that Mr Saunders is a hero whose attitude matches "Land Rover's spirit of adventure."
Mr Popham added: "He's an inspirational character who we are delighted to be supporting in this exciting record breaking expedition."
