Sports car insurance customers may have noted news that Renault UK has committed to remain a supporter of the TOCA/British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) race schedule.
The three-year rolling deal has been renewed, which the brand claims underlines its enthusiasm for the contests.
Tim Jackson, director of press and public relations at the company's UK operations, stated: "Renault has a long and very successful motorsport heritage and our announcement today will make certain this continues to be the case in the years to come."
He added that the business's attachment to the automotive spectacles is indicative of its positive approach to national motorsport.
Following the news, the ELF Renault Clio Cup with Michelin and the Formula Renault UK Championship - also supported by the tyre company - will continue to comprise part of the BTCC line-up.
The news comes at a time when the automotive brand has announced that its worldwide sales went up by 21.7 per cent in the first half of 2010.
