A police investigation currently underway in Cumbria may remind motorists of the importance of securing the best possible prestige car insurance policy.
Officers in the area have revealed they are looking into a number of incidents during which criminals appeared to specifically target expensive vehicles.
Between the 6th and 7th June, three autos were damaged when offenders poured a corrosive substance over the cars in question.
A Porsche was targeted at Low Birthwaite in Windermere, a Mercedes was attacked at Quarry Rigg in Bowness and an Audi suffered the same fate at Field Foot in Grasmere.
In all three cases, the paintwork of the vehicles was damaged.
Although such circumstances are always distressing and frustrating, car owners may find a good insurance provider can make all the difference.
When taking out a policy, motorists may be well advised to read the small print thoroughly and make sure the cover they are buying offers all the features they require.
