Nigel Mansell is to put a sports car through its paces once more, alongside sons Greg and Leo, during the final leg of the Le Mans Series this coming weekend (September 10th-12th).
The former world champion will be seen behind the wheel of the 500bhp Ginetta-Zytek 09S for the first time since his crash in June during the Le Mans 24 Hours event that left him with a concussion.
Other ex-F1 stars will also be making appearances, including Anthony Davidson, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, while racing fans will also be able to watch in wonder as the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, Saleen and Ford supercars take to the crash in the GT classes.
Mansell will put the pedal to the metal one week before the FIA GT3 European Championship gets underway in Portugal once more, beginning on September 17th, with United Autosports intending to continue its winning streak following the victory of the Audi R8 LMS sports car a year ago.
