Prodrive reveals Festival of Speed line up

Motorists who are passionate about the kind of machines that require prestige car insurance may be tempted to see if they can secure tickets for this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Prodrive has revealed it will be showing off the latest car it has built – an Aston Martin LMP1.

In addition to this, the company's first ever model – a Rothmans Porsche 911 SCRS – will also be in action.

The firm built this car back in 1984 – and it said it was keen to show visitors a range of vehicles from its 25 years in motorsport.

It will also be demonstrating the 550 GTS Maranello that took part in the Le Mans 24-hour challenge in 2004.

When not on the Goodwood circuit, the autos will be on show in the group's display area – situated behind the F1 paddock.

Earlier this year, Prodrive reported Sean Galael - a 13-year-old Indonesian boy – had caught the eye of the rallying world after emerging triumphant from the first two rounds of the KFC Junior Rally Sprint in his home country.
