Potential sports car insurance policyholders may be interested to know that the winner of Japan's Car of the Year event's Most Fun Award is the Nissan Fairlady Z.
On its 40th anniversary, this sporting vehicle was given the title at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show.
It is the second time the Fairlady Z series has been awarded the honour, the last time being in 2003.
The manufacturer said: "This car, first introduced in 1969, has gained fans worldwide for its fun-to-drive characteristic and evolving style through the years".
Last week saw the introduction of a new design of Fairlady Z Roadster - a two-seater soft-top convertible.
Fans may appreciate its "aggressive" exterior and fabric soft top.
Those who wish to modify their sports car may be interested in the manufacturer's 18-inch cast aluminium wheels with chrome colour coatings.
According to Nissan, the performance has been "considerably improved" thanks to a shortened wheelbase, lighter weight and wider track.
