Sports car insurance customers could be enthralled by the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
Sporting a full 28-car line-up for the first time in its history, the Carrera Cup GB will surpass its previous 27-car record when the season begins on April 3rd and 4th, at Thruxton.
The 20-race programme is now entering its eighth season.
The championship really seeks to test drivers' skills and talent by only allowing minimal modifications to the 420bhp Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, which is universally used by the competitors.
Andy Goss, the managing director of Porsche Cars GB, heralded the hard work that the teams and drivers had put in to creating potentially the best ever season.
Mr Goss said: "This is an incredible situation for the Carrera Cup GB. The entries for the 2010 season are impressive
I'm particularly pleased that the field is a great mix of established competitors and an influx of newcomers".
Porsche have recently showcased three world debuts in hybrid technology at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
