When looking for the best sports car ideas this year, why not check out the Citroen Survolt for inspiration?
The racing model concept whizzed around the Le Mans Circuit over the weekend, giving those in attendance the chance to feast their eyes on a fast and furious motor.
It has a 100 per cent battery-powered drivetrain, which the manufacturer suggests is a rare occurrence in terms of racing editions.
Vanina Ickx, who got behind the wheel of the model, stated: "I am very proud to have participated in this unique project. On the track it felt really good. It's a real race car, with a very promising potential for the future."
The motor can reach top speeds of 162 miles per hour and travel from zero to 62 miles per hour in less than five seconds.
One model that may appeal to sports car insurance customers is the Citroen DS3 R3, which can generate 210bhp.
