Fans of prestige motor vehicles may be happy to hear that Bentley has announced the unveiling of one of the most eagerly anticipated new models, the Bentley Continental GTC convertible.
The company has taken the stage at the annual Qatar International Motor Show in Doha and revealed its new model to the world, with the car featuring an upgraded 575PS 6.0 litre, twin-turbo-charged W12 engine.
In addition, the vehicle is fitted with the manufacturer's Quick Shift transmission, enabling faster gear changes and improved performance for purchasers.
Styling for the GTC convertible remains closely linked to the traditional GTC concept - which premiered in 2006 - and the new model helps to build on the legacy of the brand, with every part crafted to the highest quality by Bentley.
Alasdair Stewart, member of the board for sales and marketing at Bentley Motors, said: "We are delighted to be here in Qatar with the new GTC. It has always been the most emotional model in the Continental range and a showcase for Bentley design.
"With its tailored soft top, the GTC is a pure British convertible true to those classic Bentleys of the past."
In addition, the firm also showcased its Bentley Mulsanne model at the Doha event, with considerable interest from those in attendance.
Last month, the company announced the launch of its new Continental GT and GTC V8 ranges.
The firm's Continental GT coupe and GTC convertible models both feature the new 4.0-litre, twin-turbo charged V8 engine, which enables each car to achieve sub-five second acceleration from zero to 62 mph, while delivering 500 bhp and peak torque of 660 Nm.
Wolfgang Durheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, added: "The new engine will have all the exhilarating power, drama and performance you would expect from a V8 engine sporting the famous Bentley wings."
