Motorists looking for fast car insurance to cover their racing cars may be more likely to be left-handed, a new study has suggested.
AA Driving School has found people who are left-handed "have a natural advantage" when it comes to driving and some of the best racing drivers in the world are lefties.
Formula One champion Ayrton Senna and MotoGP's Valentino Rossi are both famous southpaws, while astronaut Buzz Aldrin drove to the moon using his left hand, the study said.
Simon Douglas, director of the driving school, said: "Although fewer students are left-handed, some of our instructors have commented that it's the left-handers that seem to pick up skills like clutch control much more quickly than the right-handers."
Today (Wednesday August 13th) is international Left-Handers Day.
Brazlilian driver Ayrton Senna was born in 1960. He won the Formula One world championships in 1988, 1990 and 1991.
