Motorcycle enthusiasts are set to descend on the village of Chiddingly this Sunday for a charity event that will take them through the Sussex and Kent countryside.
According to the Eastbourne Herald, more than 50 motorbike riders are expected to participate in the first Three Counties Charity Motorcycle Run.
Organised by Hailsham Rotary to raise money for its benevolent fund, the event offers bike riders a choice between a shorter route of 30 miles or the 65-mile course.
The club's president, John Morris, told the paper the organisers are looking forward to a "really enjoyable day" for both bike riders and spectators.
"If successful then the run could become a regular event in our calendar," he added.
Motorcycle fanatics can register on Sunday morning before the run starts from the Six Bells Public House in Chiddingly at 11:00 BST.
In general, people planning to participate in an event such as this are advised to check their bikes, particularly tyres, brake pads, oil and water, as well as to ensure they have the proper motorcycle insurance in place.
Road safety charity Brake also advises motorcyclists riding in groups to keep a safe distance from other participants and agree on rules about overtaking and speeding in order to minimise their risks.
