Suzuki reveals racing plans to motorcycle insurance customers

Suzuki has announced its 2009 off-road racing plans at the Dirt Bike Show today, in news which motorcycle insurance customers may have been waiting for.

The manufacturer described next year's line-up as its strongest ever in UK competitions.

Initially, the Japanese company confirmed its plan to run two official teams in British Motocross in 2009 - the MVR-D and Relentless Suzuki MX squads.

Riders for the first of these teams will include Carl Nunn, Mattis Karro, Alex Dunlop, Natalie Kane, James Noble and James Cottrell.

Meanwhile, Martin Barr, Jamie Law and Scott Probert will be riding for Relentless Suzuki MX.

Commenting on his company's off-road racing plans, George Cheeseman from Suzuki said: "I'm delighted to confirm our plans for next season."

He added: "Alongside our motocross teams, we have great representation in enduro with Paul Edmondson and in youth racing with Paul Butler."

Earlier this month, Suzuki announced a zero per cent APR finance deal on its RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 models.
