An individual who may have been responsible for encouraging many people to take to two wheels and buy motorcycle insurance is due to appear on a popular TV show this weekend.
Motocross star Ricky Carmichael has been lined up as one of the guests on BBC2's Top Gear on Sunday July 5th.
Suzuki – the team the champ rides for – expressed delight at the news.
Referring to Carmichael, spokesman for the manufacturer George Cheeseman said: "He is simply a legend in motocross and it's extremely encouraging to know that the sport will gain some airtime on one of the most popular TV shows around."
Suzuki described Ricky as one of the event's most successful American competitors.
While on Top Gear, the biking ace will ride alongside star of US rally Ken Block.
The programme starts at 20:00 BST.
