Revival will offer motorcycle insurance customers 'a taste of Germany'
05 Sep 2008
Motorcycle insurance customers who are planning to head to the Goodwood Revival in a couple of weeks will find the event has a distinctive continental flavour courtesy of BMW, the organisers have claimed.
A section of the Revival motorcycle paddock is to be turned into a Bavarian Oktoberfest bar.
This BMW revivalfest will serve authentic German beer, white pork sausages, pretzels and mustard.
A number of classic BMW vehicles from the manufacturer's museum in Munich will also be on display during the show.
Oktoberfest originates from the Bavarian capital Munich.
Traditionally, the event is held for 16 days from the end of September until early October.
As this year's Revival event coincided with Oktoberfest, BMW suggested it might be a good idea to bring a bit of Germany to Goodwood.
BMW was started in October 1913 by Karl Friedrich Rapp. Originally, the company was a manufacturer of aircraft engines.
