Recovery company adds Suzukis to fleet

The vehicle recovery company has decided to take advantage of the speed and size provided by two wheels and has reintroduced scooters including the Suzuki Burgman 650, the manufacturer has said.

A total of 16 Burgmans will join the fleet – six in Birmingham, four in Manchester and six in London. They will be standard models except for the addition of a top-box, sat nav and AA graphics.

Supplier Motts motorcycles said it was pleased to see the return of the motorbikes, which have not been used by the company since the 1990s.

Motts' Alan Garret said: "As we all know, motorcycles offer a great solution to beating congestion and so it's great to see a well-known organisation maximise the potential of two wheels again."

Motorcycles may allow access to breakdowns a third faster than vans, the AA said.
