Honda is this year celebrating the 20th anniversary of its iconic Fireblade model, with a showcase of the development of the legendary vehicle taking place at the upcoming MCN London Motorcycle Show.
Set to run from February 2nd to 5th at ExCel in London, the Fireblade's rich lineage is set to be showcased for enthusiastic visitors, ranging from the original CBR900RR back in 1992 through to the first 1,000 cc incarnation in 2004 and right up to the latest 2012 CBR1000RR machine.
The company has released five incarnations of the Fireblade over the last 20 years, with the original model having been designed by legendary Honda engineer Tadao Baba.
Mr Baba was integral in the development of the Total Control concept for Honda, which focused on the fundamentals of "fun to ride, easy to control".
All those in attendance at the MCN London Motorcycle Show will be treated to an array of Honda's best designs, as the company is planning a showcase of many of its other iconic vehicles from both today and yesteryear, including the Honda 'Six' RC174 - on which Mike Hailwood took the 350cc World Championship title back in 1967.
In addition, some of the firm's 2012 releases will be on display, with the NC700X - dubbed the most 'innovative middle-weight of the year' - and new Vision 50 and Vision 110 scooters all set to feature alongside Honda's newly revised GL1800 Gold Wing.
Other attractions that are sure to set fans' pulses racing include a free prize draw where one lucky entrant will win a luxury car, while other prizes are a motorcycle, lawnmower, ATV, generator and an inflatable boat.
It is sure to be a show to remember for fans of the iconic brand and especially the Fireblade, while fans of motorsport will also be treated to Honda's 297cc six cylinder grand prix machine, which will carry out its showpiece 'singing' performance each day of the event.
