Motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has announced it achieved record results over the last 12 months.
The firm reported sales of 2,345 units during 2011 - its highest figure since 2003 - representing an annual increase of 15.3 per cent over the previous year. Sales were spread evenly across the company's product range, with its Monster, Superbike, Multistrada and Diavel vehicles all seeing growth and an equal share of increases.
In addition, the firm reported it has become the fastest growing motorcycle brand in the UK.
Tim Maccabee, managing director of Ducati UK, commented: "These results reflect not only the hard work of the Ducati UK team, but also the fantastic product and support from our colleagues in Bologna."
The news follows an announcement by Suzuki that the company is planning the launch of its new GSX-R1000 model at the upcoming Carol Nash MCN Motorcycle Show in London.
It is taking place at the ExCel on February 2nd to 5th and interest in the showpiece bike is set to be high.
