The performance of Tom Sagar and the new Suzuki RMX450Z during the recent Putoline XC Championship first round event could be an inspiration to bike insurance customers.
Held near Ashby de la Zouche in Leicestershire, the contest saw the rider overcome tough conditions to win - stealing a one lap lead on rival and current champion James Jackman and leading the 170-strong field.
Sagar's vehicle has been specially designed for endurance and Sagar described the event as "pretty tough", adding "but the bike ran perfectly and we were able to keep up a fast pace despite the boggy conditions".
He explained that he was still undecided about whether or not to contest the championship as a whole but said the machine had proven itself in a "tricky" situation.
