Modified Cars - New offer may appeal to modified car owners

New offer may appeal to modified car owners

Motorists who do not fancy having to make a claim on their modified car insurance may want to take advantage of a new offer.

Carcraft is carrying out free dipstick tests to mark National Oil Check Week, which runs from June 15th to 19th.

The company stated it was keen to do something to highlight how important this type of basic maintenance is.

Joe Conlin, group service manager, commented: "It's essential your car has sufficient oil if you want to avoid a hefty and unnecessary repair bill."

He made this comment after a poll by Comma found half of drivers do not check this vital fluid.

The survey also found one in 20 motorists does not know what a dipstick is.

Meanwhile, motorists who do not conduct basic maintenance could be increasing their chances of experiencing serious mechanical failure.

This in turn could lead to an accident and force drivers to make an insurance claim.
