Changing your Policy Details
Performance Direct despatches all documents in 1st Class post within 24 hrs of making any amendments to your policy.
Subject to postal collections, you should receive your documents within 4 working days.
Renewing your Policy
Performance Direct will dispatch all renewal documents by 1st Class post within 24 hrs of purchase. Subject to postal
collections, you should receive your documents within 4 working days. If you haven't received your documents within
this period, please contact our Customer Service Department on 0844 482 8108.
Lost Certificates
Your insurance certificate is a legal document and should be kept in a safe place, preferably not in your car.
If you need a replacement certificate, please contact us immediately on 0844 482 8108. Note: Lost documents
are subject to an administration fee of £20.00.
Cover Notes
Some insurers prefer us to issue cover notes at inception or following a change to your policy. Cover notes have the
same legal bearing as insurance certificates but will expire, typically in 30 or 60 days.
Either Performance Direct or your insurance company will provide a certificate valid for the remaining term of the
policy before the cover note expires.
Useful Information
For security reasons, we do not email insurance documents.
We can, however, fax a copy of your certificate but please note the Post Office will not accept faxed copies as proof
of insurance when taxing your car.
